Can you believe that ALL the guys and a lot of the girls (minus 1 couple that we feel like we've known forever and we claim) have been friends since they were little?? And they're still best friends to this day?? We're so lucky to have them in our life!!

50 years old

My sister and I had such a fun time planning my

MOM'S SURPRISE 50th birthday party!!

I know some people were a little surprised by the location {Classic Skating}, but our thought

was to have everyone come with their kids and grandkids and have a fun night!

(plus it's fun to do something different)

So...we rented out the skating rink for 2 hours: 7-9 pm.

Ate yummy appetizers (including 200 chick'fila'A chicken nuggets: my dad's request)

We made a cd for everyone to take home with songs that remind us of our mom

{...my mom has an R&B soul...}

Plus we had them play the cd while we skated!

The best part of the whole night was my mom being completely surprised and all of the

people closest to her there to celebrate!

We about drew straws to see who had to tell Paityn the party was over!

The girl didn't get off the skating rink for more than 10 minutes total!

When we got home she said "Grandma, that was the best party ever!!"

I love you mom!! I hope you had a Happy Birthday!! You deserve it!

I got this in an e-mail one day and loved it!

It's probably because we have a princess compound over here!

It makes the 'Happily Ever After' more real life too!

Valentines 2010

This year, we worked on these for our Valentines!

They really were so easy and helped use up a lot of felt/wool I had laying around!

I am glad a few people knew right what they were, I was a little afraid they might look like tacos! :)

Valentine Invitations

Last night we had our 4th Annual Valentine's Party! It was so much fun and always entertaining! Months before, my mind starts spinning with ideas about invitations, theme, and new ideas! There are always the traditional things we do each year, but I like to mix things up too!

This year, I decided to send out invitations in a unique way! I asked them all like I was asking them to a High School Dance! I taped the invitation on their door, but put specific information inside the balloon for them to pop!

The information in the balloon said:

(1) What to bring

(2) Bring me 2 high school dance pictures per person in advance

(3) Wear matching shirts (just like those high school days)

Some people then took it to the next step by answering back like a dance.

I think a few people were confused by the random balloon that magically appeared on their mailbox, some even got asked if it was someone's birthday, but overall it was a fun way (at least for me) to mix things up!

Opposite of Potty Training

Presley's 2 best friends Adilyn & Scarlett are potty training at the moment. So now Presley thinks she wants to! She asks to sit on the potty at least 10 times a day, constantly takes off her clothes, and steals all of Paityn's underwear!

Sounds ideal right? Nope! Although she's sat on the potty she has yet to do anything on it. It's just fun & games! I'm hoping that one of these days she'll do something and surprise us, but for now we're just in the naked stage! (which brings me to a previous post where she is dancing naked)

This is Presley when we were at Adilyn's house. I didn't even realize she didn't have a diaper on. She also thinks this is how you wear underwear! That might be a problem!

Special Delivery

My sister recently sent the girls a package in the mail.

You would have thought it was Christmas.

There is something so fun about getting something in the mail ... excluding bills!

She sent them Valentine shirts and capris

I think I might need to start sending packages!

The girls love their Aunt Erin!
