. . . If the words . . .

Ooey, Gooey,
Butter Bars

makes your mouth water, then I suggest you check out
and then run to the grocery store and make these!
(chances are you might have everything you need to make them!)

We made them for the first day of school. They are Paityn's favorite treat!

School Girls

The wheels on this bus went ROUND & ROUND

and carried Paityn off to Kindergarten today!

These 2 handsome boys came to escort her to the bus!
{Her cousins: Nick & Ben}

Here's all the cute neighbors at the bus stop
{Corbin, Jacob, Luke, Nick, Ben, Gracen, Elle, Brody, Maggie}

The bus driver asked if I wanted a picture of her on the bus, I couldn't resist
{LOTS of kids on that bus, then my heart jumped . . . please don't let her get trampled!}

And let's not forget this lovely lady.
Although she isn't technically old enough for Preschool, a few of my neighbors are doing a swap play group/preschool twice a week. So as far as she's concerned, she's in PRESCHOOL (and trust me, don't tell her otherwise)!
So of course, on her first day {Monday} I had to take her picture too!
Such an angel face!

So WE survived! I was so nervous the night before Paityn went to school. I never rode a bus going to school so the unknown scared me a little. Will she make it to her class ok? Will she be scared? I asked her if she wanted me to take her the first day, but she said she wanted to take the bus.

I didn't cry at the bus stop, but my heart sunk just a little. Seriously, how did we get to this point so quickly! Public School. It's almost like I had to let go a little. She's getting bigger! I love watching her learn and grow, but each day that passes by is gone and I can't get it back. She's such a good girl! So sweet, spiritual, funny, blunt, cautious, obedient little girl. I hope she never changes!

{Harvest}

This time of year has to be at the top of my list.
(Not necessarily weather-wise: I'm a high 70's kind of girl), but when all the yummy, fresh fruits/vegetables start popping up everywhere.

Nothing beats a little {peaches/half & half/sugar} for breakfast!
Nothing puts a smile on Devin's face like homemade salsa!
Well, he also gets a big smile when he spots a red tomato!
Nothing satisfies my sweet tooth like peach pie!
Nothing makes the girls more proud than showing off our mini garden!
...see how giddy it makes me...

Meet the Gardener:

The girls tell everyone that our grass is their daddy's "baby"!
Devin has found a real love of yard work! (and he keeps ours in ship shape)

Here's our green peppers!
(so many are getting big, if only my green peppers could tell my tomatoes to all turn red at once, then we'd be ready to rock 'n roll on some salsa)

The Jalepeno Peppers
(Devin cut one up and started to eat it, thinking they tasted just like the ones they put on your nachos...well, a few coughs/gagging later...I think they'll be perfectly hot for salsa)

The daddy girls

zucchini, zucchini, zucchini

We planted 9 tomato plants, and they're all doing really good!
x x x fingers crossed x x x

Well, that's our pride and joy at the moment!
Hopefully in the next couple of months, we'll be able to bottle it all up to enjoy throughout the year!
Devin says we need at least 52 bottles of salsa, preferably 100. Then that will be 1-2 bottles a week! We'll be busy!!

Remix

We are absolutely in LOVE with
the remix DJ Earworm has put together "Blame It On The Pop"!

He basically puts a bunch of popular songs together into one song!

Ahh, I love music! It makes me so happy!

Go to his website and check them out!
Also, you can download them for free!
{How fun is that??}
