All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go

Well, today Elder Walker entered the MTC! I finally know what they mean when they say "bittersweet"!! It's been a full range of emotions with the farewell, setting apart, and now going to the MTC. I think I was half crying because I'm going to miss him so much and also because I can't believe how grown-up he is and how wonderful of a missionary he will be!! It's been a lot of fun spending this last week with him before he left!
Tonight Paityn came to me with her backpack and said "See ya mom! I said "where are you going?" Paity:"I'm going to Brazil" (which sounds like Ba-sill) Me: "Are you going to see Kramer?" Paity: "Nope, I'm going on my own mission, but I'm not going until tomorrow." Me: "Ok, see ya...call me when you get there." She makes me smile.

Well, hopefully the next 2 years goes by fast! We love you Elder Walker!

Oh, and we just found out today that his Visa went through so he'll leave for Brazil tomorrow instead of waiting in Provo.

Happy Earth Day

Because of Earth Day today, this is how me and the kids got around today to run errands! ;) jk, although I didn't go anywhere today. This is my sister's new styly'n bike that I love! Pretty cute huh! But still, I definetly would like to be a little bit greener around my house, like cut down on the paper towels that I use. :)

A movie you MUST see

Last night, my family went to see the movie "Joseph Smith The Prophet of the Restoration" that's playing at the Joseph Smith Building. It was the most touching, most beautiful movie I have ever seen! It really showed not only what a wonderful Prophet he was, but what a great man is was as well. I also have such a love for Emma Smith as well. She was such a supportive, loving wife and sacrificed so much in her lifetime! I just have an increased love for the Prophet Joseph Smith and was reminded of the sacrifices he made at such a young age. Also, the sacrifices of the pioneers. It makes my life look like a walk in the park! Anyway, just wanted to remind anyone who hasn't seen it to go see the movie with their families soon! You'll be so glad you did!

3rd Ear Infection?

Last night was one those nights when you question your sanity! Presley woke up screaming around 10 o'clock and couldn't settle down, aka screaming bloody murder. So finally Devin and I decided to take her on a drive to see if she could fall asleep. Well, it worked until we stopped the car and tried to bring her inside. By about 2 am and driving for 2 hours around St. George (don't worry, my dad was watching Paityn) we finally brought her in and got her to settle down for the most part. In this time of stress, I came up with an invention. I think someone needs to make a swing that moves like riding in a car. I mean just some light bouncing, slowly moving from side to side....seriously, right? Well, maybe I'll start creating it! :) So I'm going to take her to the doctor today and hopefully get some good medicine to take away the pain. This will be her 3rd ear infection and she's only 4 months old. I think that we might be on the road to getting tubes in her ear. Her doctor said that after 6 ear infections in one year, he suggests getting tubes. So it looks like we might have 3 more on our way. So anyone with any good ideas on how to soothe the pain of an ear infection, LET ME KNOW!

Back on the road again to go help my mom get things ready for Kramer's farewell and spend some time with him before he leaves. This seems like the story of our life...We're constantly on the road back and forth between St. George and Springville. But it gives me some quiet time, usually, so I guess I'll just pop in my book on tape and off we go! Wish me luck!

A Much Needed Girl's Night Out

On Thursday night, I met some friends for much needed GiRlS nIgHt OuT! I met up with Destiny, Lindsey, Meghan, Meri, Kristen & Nikki at P.F. Chang's and had a delicious meal. We're trying to make this a tradition so that every month we can get together and do something girly and fun! You know those chic flicks you always want to see, those books you want to read, or those restaurants you really want to go try...well, we're going to try to do all of that over the next year or so. Next month, we're planning to HIKE THE Y with our friend Lindsey who is our athletic, marathon runner friend! It was so refreshing to get together with good friends and have time to chat and be undistracted. Each of my friends are so talented in so many ways so it will be fun to do a variety of fun things each month. If any of you are interested in joining on in for a GNO, let me know. The more the merrier! Thanks girls for such a fun, nice night! I truly feel blessed to have so many wonderful friends in my life who make me want to be a better person!

Like Mother like Daughter

For years now my dad has been telling the same old story about me getting a popcorn kernel stuck up in my nose.
Little kid + picking her nose + eating popcorn....not a good combination.
Enough said. Well during Sacrament meeting, Paityn was sitting on Kristie's lap and was eating these tic tacs. (see where this is going) She started crying saying her nose hurt so Devin took her out and saw a tic tac in her hand and put it all together. So he sneaks back in and tells me to come out. Sure enough, inside her little nose is a white, minty tic tac. Devin tells her to blow her nose, but she sucks in. Okay, not working, what should we do? So we rush home to get tweezers. Right as we pull the tweezers out and Dr. Bird is ready to operate, it slides right out. It's funny now, but definetly had us worried.
So I guess when they say "I hope you get a little one who is JUST LIKE YOU", it finally happened.
