Happy Father's Day!!

Although it's a few days late, I figured it's better to do it now than never. Happy Father's Day to the WORLD'S GREATEST DADS!!
First, Devin. I always knew he'd be a great dad, but was still suprised how wonderful of a dad he is. There's nothing like seeing the man you married turn into an adoring dad. Paityn just adores him and they have so many special things that they do together. He works so hard for our family and I'm so grateful to be married to him and have our little family together!! We love you!!!

I bought him a hammock for Father's Day which I knew he'd love! Devin & Paityn laid out there the other night until 11 pm, of course both asleep. I couldn't get either one of them to come in. Every time I'd go out there she'd say "Shh mom, the moon is sleeping".

Then, my dad. Gosh, I'm such a daddy's girl. My dad is one of my very best friends! And now one of Paityn's as well. I have always looked up to my dad. He always gives me the best advice, ya know, the kind that you really need to hear sometimes. :-) I really lucked out with such great parents! Love you dad! Then, my other dad. Devin's dad is one of the nicest, my thoughtful guys ever. No one thinks more about others and less about himself than him. Devin also has such wonderful parents, which is part why I married him. :-) Although I'm to blame, I think that Paityn inherited her Papa Bird's sweet tooth. We love you Leland!!

BBQ at the Gammells

How could I forget the fun BBQ we have at Matt & Christie's house every year!! Devin has the funniest, most entertaining, nicest friends!! I spend the whole night laughing. We first had a bbq, then went inside to play our favorite game. I don't even know what it's called, but it is honestly hillarious!! So here's our friends: Matt & Christie, Myles & Rachel, Seth & Abbie, Sean & Lindsee, Kenny & Kenzie!

Art City Days

So I'm a little late posting about Art City Days, but I decided to post about it anyway. I'm sure you've been DYING to hear! ;-)

One year later, she successfully enjoyed to Merry Go Round!Watching the parade outside Calvin & Linda's house..lots of candy!
Another year, another competitive game of darts! Oh, and it lasts 3 hours.Cute little cousins! Paityn loves to go do anything Kate is doing.
And who could forget cotton candy. No carnival will do without it!

We really do look forward to Art City Days every year!! It's always fun getting together with Devin's family for a little reunion. Paityn keeps talking about the rides and I'm already missing the scones. Until next year...

Get 'em while they're hot

So to make a long story short, Devin and Danny are apart of this organization called Kwanis Club. Heard of it? Probably not because the average age is around 65, and then there's us. We really actually enjoy it. It's completely service oriented which is always nice. So since it's Art City Days this week, they always set up a booth selling scones. And not just any scones, huge, hot, honey-buttered scones! Delish! They are a HUGE hit!! Wednesday night was the first night it opened and they had to close down around 10 pm because they ran out of dough....400 lbs of dough. The lines are always way long and they end up making about ten thousand dollars which is all used to put back into the community. So there's my hubby and Danny selling away. Stop by and get one, it's worth it!!

It was so cold outside!

My cousin's wedding dinner

Last night my family went to my cousin's wedding dinner in Brigham City at Maddox. The food was SO SO good and it was really nice. I'm so happy for my cousin Laurie and her fiance Bryce. They are so cute together. We're going to the wedding today at the Salt Lake temple. Then tomorrow let the Springville Art City Days Celebrations Begin!!! We're on our way.
My familia....minus my hubby!

What the Birds have been up to

Lately we have been spending a lot of time with family and friends which is always fun. I know I'm a little behind on our Memorial Day weekend, but here's what we've been up to.
The Saturday over Memorial Day weekend, I ran my FIRST 5K RACE!!! I'm kind of embarrased to say it was my first, but now I can officially say I ran a race. Let's just say I had fun and not worry about the time. :-) My friend Nancy kept me company and we pushed Paityn in her jogger. Devin and Mike ran together ahead of us. It was a very special race to run in and I'm so glad we did. It was called "Live Life, Live it W'Elle" in honor of Elle Hullinger who died last year from a tragic accident. She was only 18 months and she has a great family who lives by us. It was very touching to see her dad at the finish line thanking everyone for running. There were 600-700 people who ran...what a tribute!I look very sleepy in this picture :-)
We had to wake Paityn up so early!!

We also got to watch my little sister play softball!! It gave me anxiety a little, but made me laugh so hard. They have the funnest coaches, our family's long time friend Rick and his daughter Katie. They don't even have a kid that age by far, but he offered to coach. He is totally hillarious and makes it so much fun!!

Go Centerville!!
