Paityn's preschool teacher this year is Mrs. Holman.
I can't believe next year she'll start Kindergarten.
Devin said the other day:
"man, if the next 5 years goes as fast as these 5 years has gone, she'll be 10!" Seriously, more and more I look at her and think "she's getting so big!" {Tear}
She seems to really like it this year, she's got lots of friends and more of a social life than I do!

{and yes, Presley is enjoying the 2 1/2 hours ALL about HER!}

The latest project

I never remember to post about little projects I'm working on, {mainly because most times they don't get finished right away or ever} but my friend took a picture of the latest project!

Little Boy Ties
mine is the stripped one

And the back view

Fun, right?!! I mean, no worries that I don't even have a boy, but when I saw this pattern, I couldn't resist! I do know a lot of cute boys I could picture these ties on though!

The dreaded Swine Flu

Well, it happened.

We caught that dreaded swine FLU.

And it was a long week away from the outside world.

The only good thing is we all  made it through, alive and all. ;)

So we watched a lot of movies, colored a lot of pictures,

Had lots of food dropped off to us,
{Literally it made me laugh, our doorbell would ring and our sweet family and friends would drop by groceries, dinner, treats, homemade bread, cut up watermelon...}

And mostly tried to sleep it off!

Good bye Swine Flu.
Please don't come back anytime soon!

Freezer Corn

This time of year has to be a favorite for me!!
The corn on the cob is perfectly sweet, the peaches ripe and ready for peach pie, tomatoes ready to pick, everything just seems to be freshly picked from the garden!

So in order to savor all this goodness, we've been taking advantage of it by making raspberry/peach jam, salsa, and the TRADITIONAL FREEZER CORN!

...Let the shucking begin...
{The Bird's met at our house at 7 am to get an early start}
...70 Dozen...
{A few years ago, we did 110 dozen, so we thought that wasn't too bad}

...Next, the boiling station...
{After it's all shucked, it heads over to Leland where it's boiled for 3 minutes}

...Cooling the Corn...
{Then off to Devin & Jake where they had coolers of cold water for the corn to cool off}

...Cutting the Corn...
{You take all the corn off with these nifty tools. (see picture below) Then bag it into freezer bags, ready to store, and ready to eat...so sweet and delicious!}

And just incase there's a little corn left on the cob ... (cough) Danny

Kami Su in uniform, apron and all

Beverly, the one who taught us all how to do this

How was that for some step-by-step instructions! ;)
Few! Another post down! I've been having some issues with photoshop and have had a hard time posting anything! But now that I had some luck, I can finally update our little blog!

We're Going To The Zoo....How About You?

We were able to cross 1 more thing off our "To Do List" by going to the Zoo!
I think Presley was possibly a little freaked out by her dad's acting!

Oh this girl, why does this picture make me laugh! Her and her personality!
Paityn loved all the animals! I think her favorites were the Zebra and the Owl!
. . My mom, me, Paity, Abby, Pres and my dad . .

The Arrival of LottieMay

Well, for starters....yes I'm still alive and kicking!
It gets sad when your friend's husband starts wondering why you don't blog anymore! But seriously, nothing to blame it on other than I'm just down right tired from chasing a 1 1/2 year- old all day long!
And anyone who knows me, knows that we run 90 miles an hour in all sorts of directions, so hence, I'm down right tired! ;)

But, for really ExCitiNg nEws, my sweet little niece LottieMay finally arrived and I couldn't be happier for my sister and brother-in-law!

We all waited patiently outside the curtain, just waiting to hear her first words {cry} !

Erin waiting for her to arrive
My mom, Abby, Paityn, and me waiting in the hall...with my dad (behind the camera)
Such an odd picture to take, but the moment was so sweet!
My brother-in-law Dane, looking at his daughter for the first time, with tears running down his face!
...touching...
LottieMay...she looked JUST LIKE PAITYN when she was born!
I just about died!
Now, here she is at about 2 weeks old...is she to die for, or what?!!

It feels good to finally blog! I'm going to try and catch up on this summer soon!
