Our trip to Chicago: The Motherload of photos

We've been home now a week from our trip to Chicago! We had such a good time with our friends the Sonnenbergs...Steve, Meghan, Kanyon and Scarlett! We stayed at his grandparents lake house which is about 1 1/2 hours from the city. We were surrounded by corn fields and the beautiful outdoors. We got to see all sides of Illionois. The crazy, busy city and the quiet, relaxing countryside.
Day 1: We stayed at the lake and went boating. Here are a few photos I stole off Meghan's blog. (Thanks Meghan for taking such good photos)
Cute little Kanyon chill'n on the boat
Meghan showing us all upThe beautiful view from the Lake House

A real, true cowboy...Steve's dad Jim. He has a beautiful ranch we played at too!
The boys shooting some hoops at the farm
This is the real countryside outside of Chicago...breath-taking!

Kanyon and I taking a ride around the farm
Day 2: Lots of pictures, I know...feel free to just pass by all of these. Mom and Abby, all these pictures are for you! haha! ;-) We went into the city. First stop, the United Center where Steve's brother Scott gave us the ultimate tour of the Home of the Chicago Bulls.
The locker room

The Wall of Fame...Timeline
The Sonnenbergs
Devin sitting where Michael Jordan once sat, wondering "what would Jordan do?"
Authorized personnel only...thank you Scott!! ;-)
The best Chicago style pizza ever!! They tell you it will be 45 minutes before you get your pizza because they literally cook it for 45 minutes...massive and delish!

Devin and I went to Wicked Thursday night which was Oh-So-Amazing!! Thanks babe for taking me to see that! Gosh, I could do a whole post on that alone!! We rode the train home..we actually made it to where we needed to.
Gotta love the city! Some people will do anything to get a little doe!
As you can see, we had a GREAT time!! I have a few more photos to post about the remaining days, but I think I'll save those for another post. Thanks for the invite Steve and Meghan and their wonderful family who let treated us SO well!! And thanks Dev for such a wonderful birthday gift!! Oh, and thanks mom and dad for taking such good care of Paityn!

I am so glad that you posted a ton of pictures of your trip. Seeing you wakeboarding flashed me back to the good ole' days with the fearsome!!

Tell me more about wicked. Did you love it? I am trying to convince Nick to take me to Cali to see it. I am so glad that you guys were able to have a vacation just the two of you before the babe comes. There is just something about having two that makes one on one time together with your hubby a little difficult!

Anyway you look cute and I am so glad you had fun!

What a lot of fun! Jen, I can't belive you are wakeboarding while being prego--wow, what a woman! Wicked is amazing, isn't it? If possible, I would have season tickets to Wicked. I thought it was "Wickedly" good.
