Lately we have been spending a lot of time with family and friends which is always fun. I know I'm a little behind on our Memorial Day weekend, but here's what we've been up to.
The Saturday over Memorial Day weekend, I ran my FIRST 5K RACE!!! I'm kind of embarrased to say it was my first, but now I can officially say I ran a race. Let's just say I had fun and not worry about the time. :-) My friend Nancy kept me company and we pushed Paityn in her jogger. Devin and Mike ran together ahead of us. It was a very special race to run in and I'm so glad we did. It was called "Live Life, Live it W'Elle" in honor of Elle Hullinger who died last year from a tragic accident. She was only 18 months and she has a great family who lives by us. It was very touching to see her dad at the finish line thanking everyone for running. There were 600-700 people who ran...what a tribute!
I look very sleepy in this picture :-)
We had to wake Paityn up so early!!

We had to wake Paityn up so early!!We also got to watch my little sister play softball!! It gave me anxiety a little, but made me laugh so hard. They have the funnest coaches, our family's long time friend Rick and his daughter Katie. They don't even have a kid that age by far, but he offered to coach. He is totally hillarious and makes it so much fun!!

Go Centerville!!

Hey Jen! You are amazing! I get tired even thinking about a 5K. You're a great example to everyone and sooo sweet to honor that little girl and her family. I'm glad you're feeling better! We need to come visit soon.... I still have some barettes for the two of you. Love ya!
