My 4-year old big girl

Happy Birthday Paity-poo!

How time flies! Our little 6 lb 8 oz baby is now 40" tall and 35 lbs.

Paityn has always been a girl of many (big) words. Some of her favorite have been: sensible, fabulous, I'm coming my lady, splendid, and she'd use them ALL the time. It was almost like the word of the week!

Paityn loves: movies, playing with friends, singing, cousins, mac& cheese, chocolate (that's my girl!), BOOKS, her little sissy, dress up, "one soft & one hard taco" at Taco Bell, talking on the phone...

We can't imagine life without this little spunky, sassy, thoughful, intelligent little girl!

Almost Finished...."Two more weeks"!!!!!

Well since nearly late March, or early April, I started a project that I hoped to have completed by late August/early September; however, after nearly 40 change orders many of which were major items, it looks like I might be finished in the next couple weeks.
The city has set up a grand opening date for the 14th of November roughly and hopefully we'll have all our odds and ends tied up and the punchlist complete! It's been a long seven + months espcially with Jen and the girls up North since August. I've missed them like crazy and have been pushing like you know what to get this job finished.
The inside joke with my friends when they ask me how much longer it will take until I'm finished has been, "Two weeks!" Anyway, we really might be about two weeks away.... I can see the end of the tunnel. I hope you like the pics. Take care and Peace out!

And The Winner Is...

Well, not me! But close! I took 2nd place in our Ward's Chili Cookoff on Tuesday! You'd think, ahh, second place, you're the first loser. But coming from someone who never wins anything, I'll take it! Just in case you're in the chili mood, here's the recipe! (props to my mom)
Sweet Chili: Sandy Walker
1/2 lb cooked bacon
1 lb cooked hamburger
1/2 lb sausage
15 oz can baked beans
1 T worch sauce
1 large onion chopped (I used 1/2: and probably wouldn't put any if I made it for Devin)
1 T chili powder
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 C ketchup
1 T vinegar
1 large green pepper chopped
1 T brown sugar
1 lg 32 oz can tomato juice
Cook meats. Then add all ingredients.
Let Simmer.
Bake in oven at 350 for 1 hour.
Top with your favorite chili toppings!
I'm starting to think my blog is turning into a recipe book! :) Every event we have I talk about food, is that a problem??

Peak into Disneyland

We finally did it! Now, we can give ourselves a pat on the back for taking the kiddos to the Happiest Place on Earth! It was magical for most of the time, until you stood in line for an hour, but every ride was amazing to say the least! Paityn believed everything and anything she saw and Presley, well, she enjoyed snacking on churros and slushies!

Thanks to my parents and Abby for coming along and thanks to those baby swap passes, what a lifesaver! Stay tuned for some pics of Sea World!

Field Trip to The Red Barn

Today I went with Paityn on her Preschool Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch.
3 Little Pumpkins Sitting on a Fence

Which one should I pick?...
Mrs. Robyn's Preschool Class
What a fun field trip! A fun hay-ride, picking out a pumpkin, and a donut! What more could a kid ask for!
